Voices of Diabetes

Hi, All! I am a 36-year old African. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last year and learned that I need to inject myself once a day. I was quite shocked, but what else could I do? I had to accept it and not resist, as that would have implications for my health.

However, what I have observed is that medication for our illness is expensive, taking into account the fact that it is something one will live with for the rest of his life.

Let's hope that the situation will change over time.
