After having diabetes for awhile, you may find it more difficult to stick with your self-care efforts day in and day out. Share your tips on avoiding feelings of diabetes burn-out and read about how others stay active and engaged in their day to day diabetes management.


The more I understand this disease the more I can act accordingly. At times I feel like I just want this to go away, but I know it won't and I can't just give up.


I have had so many things in my life that I could write 3 best sellers!...But, I refuse to dwell on the adversities.


Don’t wait for diabetes burnout to happen! Instead, try to beat diabetes burnout with a few preventive actions.


I have stayed involved with support groups and other people with diabetes. They really help me to stay motivated and avoid burnout.


I feel better when I take care of myself, but sometimes... I want to take this extra appendage that is my pump and throw it out the window!


Don't give up. It's your life we are talking about and your body, and you can be in control.


Prove to yourself that you can have and want your life back! ... Go to your local library and read about others who have overcome this disease.
