Voices of Diabetes

I am a type 2 senior and have had diabetes for 21 years. I've always been on insulin. More recently, 2 years ago, I went on dialysis for poor kidney function.

I have always loved traveling. Until I went on dialysis, I was able to go most anywhere and did, in fact, visit places like Jordan, Syria, and Turkey. With dialysis treatments 3 times a week, I have to restrict my travel to cruising. I just completed a 7-day cruise to Alaska and received my dialysis during port stops.

I've been on 69 cruises over the years. The next cruise I'm going on is to the Eastern Caribbean: Nov.3-10, 2007.
