Voices of Diabetes

I was recently diagnosed with shingles.  The pain in my back and ribs had convinced me I was not up to exercising. Then my blood glucose (sugar) readings began climbing and climbing. Tuesday, BEFORE dinner, my glucose reading was 202 mg/dL!

Since being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 2 years ago, I have been managing my diabetes with eating right and exercise.  I don't want to blow that and start medication any sooner than necessary.

I made the decision that I must ride my recumbent bike after dinner and my glucose reading later was 125 mg/dL, which was better than the previous days.  Exercise does work.
