I feel for Peggy from Hanover. (Diabetes Frustration and Burnout - Looking for Help)

I have been a type 2 diabetic for just a little over a year now. I had originally lost 30 lbs. just before I found out I was diabetic. When I went back to the doctor for my last visit, I had gained about 15 lbs. back again.

I am still counting my carbs, fats, and proteins. I drink plenty of fluids, also, and do not drink soda a lot. If I drink soda, it's only diet soda. So, how did this happen?

I do know one thing. When I was leaving the diet soda completely out of my diet, I did not have a problem with weight gain.

I have kidney disease as well, and I have had fibromyalgia. It can be very painful when you get a flare up. But, please fight the fight. Give this all that you have. Take it just one day at a time. Sometimes, it's down to just one minute at a time. I have had so many things in my life that I could write 3 best sellers! I have had 26 major surgeries, kidney disease, and many more things. But, I refuse to dwell on the adversities.

I feel that each of us have a book. This is the book of my life. This is the book of your life. Good luck to you, Peggy. I shall keep you in my prayers.
