Voices of Diabetes

I guess I can say that I am refusing to realize what could happen to my body by eating what I am not supposed to eat. It seems like I just cannot stop the donuts, candy, cake, pudding, etc. When I say, "Starting Monday, I am going to eat the right foods," I do not even make it through the first hour!

I work a lot of hours per week, so I use the excuse that I do not have time, so I grab a sweet. I am now on a pump, but still make excuses as to why I am eating this food. Money is a big issue with this disease, as everything is so expensive to help maintain your health. My doctor now wants me to go to an overeaters support group to find out why I am sabotaging myself and my body.

Any suggestions or ideas would be a great help.

Thanks.
