Voices Of Diabetes

Voices of Diabetes

Just a quick tip here for difficulty starting exercise that might work for some of you.

I work in diabetes education, and a number of people I have talked to over the years with this problem have ended up getting themselves a dog when they couldn't seem to solve it otherwise. They have said: "It not only gives a home to a dog that needs it, it has gotten me off my butt and walking," "If I don't feel like going for a walk, my dog knows it is the usual time to go, and stands there prancing and looking so happy, I can't deny him. So, up I get. Once I get going, his enjoyment rubs off on me," etc., etc.

Dogs can be great motivators, and are SO appreciative of the time you spend with them. Best of luck to you all.
