Voices of Diabetes

I am 69 years old, retired, on Medicare, and I need insulin daily. My Medicare prescription drug coverage contains a $3500 per year donut, wherein I pay 100% of all prescription drugs, including insulin.

Financially, I do not qualify for assistance, but I cannot afford the insulin.  Some insulin manufacturers used to furnish insulin for $12 per month, but as far as I know, that terminated when the Medicare Prescription Drug Program (Part D) went into effect.

Does anyone know where I can get reduced prices on insulin for about 6 months every year after I reach my donut level?
