Voices of Diabetes

I was diagnosed with diabetes on my 70th birthday. I was in shock and denial for some time.

But once I took it seriously, I keep my blood sugar (glucose) in the 80's and 90's. I have kept a log of all my blood sugar readings since day one. I take insulin and pills both. I've learned to cope with it. I get an A1C test every 3 months and the doctor keeps close watch on my kidneys.

Thank you for listening to my story.
