Voices of Diabetes

I just read the story that Ron S. shared - A Realistic View of the Effect of Diabetes - and I have to agree with him.  Diabetes is a tough lifestyle. We must all remember that this is our life, and it is the only one we are going to get.  Make the best of it. Get all the support you can--friends, family, and co-workers will help if you ask.  No, they won't help if you don't ask.  Open your mouth. It is difficult every day.  It is different every day. Your goal should be "YOU." Not just your blood glucose (sugar), but your blood pressure, your feet, your everything are under a microscope on an hour-to-hour basis. Keep going, keep talking, and live life to the fullest.

I have 7 grandkids that need me, 4 wonderful children, and 1 loving husband. They sometimes forget that I am special, but I remind them often.  My needs are different than theirs, but in the long run, we are all healthier than we were before, and they have me to thank.
