Voices of Diabetes

I have recently undergone quadruple bypass surgery.  I feel much better overall than I had before this procedure.

I am diabetic, and my blood sugars (glucose) ran high all the time before the surgery.  But now, my sugar is much lower and I lost 45 lbs. So, between the two, I am feeling much better.

I still watch what I eat as much as I can because of my budget. I am on Social Security/Disability. My heart could have just stopped me in my tracks at any given time before. Now, I may have a second chance--but, that is up to me.

My friends are dying around me by not taking care of themselves. We all have a choice to make: clean up our act or allow our carelessness to take its toll.

Please, for your own sake, live right and be free as much as you can. You will feel the difference. We are only here for a short time, so make the best of it.
