Voices of Diabetes

Dealing with diabetes can be very, very hard. I have been a diabetic since 1999. I have been going through ups and downs with controlling my blood sugar and being overweight. Being 250 lbs and only 33 years old is very hard. This past year my diabetes got so bad that the doctors wanted to amputate my foot because of a sore on my toe that couldn't heal. And through all of that I wasn't eating right or doing the right things.

But with the love of my family and good friends, I got myself on track and started caring for myself like I should by exercising, eating right and taking my medicines. Now my foot is healing and my body feels a lot better.
