Voices of Diabetes

I've been an insulin-injecting diabetic for over 47 years (since I was 13 years-old) and have experienced many positive developments in the treatment and control of my condition.

The introduction of disposable needles and syringes, the development of new genetically produced insulins, and the constantly improving methods of blood glucose testing have all made life easier and diabetes more manageable.

Recently, I have acquired an insulin pump and I am now convinced that it is the greatest improvement in managing blood sugars (glucose) that I've ever experienced. I would encourage all insulin-dependent diabetics to strongly consider adopting the pump.

Imagine -- no more injections four or five times each day, no more carrying insulin and syringes wherever you go -- and greatly improved control, to boot! The pump is this diabetic's dream come true.
