Voices of Diabetes

I have had diabetes for 48 years and I have been on an insulin pump for 27 years. I love my pump and it made my life easier when I went on it. I am a very brittle Type I diabetic, but the pump has helped me control my blood glucose better than before I went on it.

 

A lady asked about the in-sets, and I have been using quick-sets 43inch for quite awhile now. I like them because I can wind the tubing through my clothes and not have to worry about pulling my in-set out.

 

I have many complications from diabetes but I don't let it get me down. My best advice to anyone would be take the best care of yourself possible. Growing up I knew about complications, but these were not going to happen to me. Guess what? They did.  TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!!
